水利水电学院在原四川农业大学信息与工程技术学院的农业水利工程专业、水利水电工程专业、农业建筑环境与能源专业基础上建立起来。

现有教职工49人，其中正高、副高职称18人，中级职称28人。具有博士、硕士学位的教师47人，硕士生导师25人，11名教师具有国外留学及访学经历。

学院现有3个本科专业，其中农业水利工程于2020年获批省级一流专业，水利水电工程于2022年获批省级一流专业，1个二级学科科学硕士点（农业水土工程），1个专业硕士学科点（土木水利），1个四川省教育厅重点实验室，3个校级实验室，实验室总面积近4000平方米，设备价值3000余万元，1个工程实训中心，面积达2500平方米。获得省部级项目、成果10多项，获得国家发明专利、实用新型专利150余项，发表论文180余篇，出版专著、教材10余部。

The College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering was established on the basis of the major of agricultural water conservancy engineering, water and hydropower engineering, and agricultural building environment and energy in the former College of Information and Engineering Technology of Sichuan Agricultural University.

At present, there are 49 faculty members, including 14 with senior and deputy senior titles and 32 with intermediate titles. There are 46 faculty members with doctor's and master's degrees, 22 master's supervisors, and 10 faculty members with overseas study and visiting experience.

The college has three undergraduate majors, among which agricultural water conservancy engineering was approved as a provincial first-class specialty in 2020, water conservancy and hydropower engineering was approved as a provincial first-class specialty in 2022, a second-level discipline master's degree program (agricultural water and soil engineering), a professional master's degree program (civil and water conservancy), a key laboratory of Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, and three school-level laboratories. The total area of the laboratory is nearly 4000 m², and the equipment value is more than 30 million RMB, 1 engineering training center with an area of 2500 m². It has obtained more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects and achievements, more than 180 national invention patents and utility model patents, published more than 150 academic papers, and published more than 10 monographs and textbooks.
